Jog Falls is a popular plunge type Waterfall in South India. It is located in Shivamogga district (also called as Shimoga) of Karnataka. It is the second highest plunge waterfall in India. It is formed on Sharavathi river. It is also called as Gerusoppe Falls or Jogada Gundi.

Jog Falls is made of 4 Waterfalls. Named as Raja, Rani, Rocket and Roarer. Raja Fall comes down in 1 unbroken column to the depth of 250 Metres (830 Feet). Rani moves quietly over the mountainside in a sheet of foam.

Nearly 30 KM (45 Minutes drive) from Jog Falls is a village named Keladi. It is well known for its Rameshwara Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, a Hindu deity. This Temple was built in 1500 A.D. by then Nayaka dynasty based on Hoysala-Dravidian style of architecture. Intricate and exquisite wooden carvings have been made inside and outside the Temple. This Temple showcases the rich heritage, culture and art from that era.

KSRTC (Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation) has package tours via Bus from Bengaluru to visit these Waterfalls. KSRTC also provides Daily Bus service (AC and Non-AC) from Bengaluru, Mysuru and Shivamogga to Sagar, the nearest Bus Stand to Jog Falls.
